Chris Daniels & The Kings (now with Freddi Gowdy) are celebrating their 37th year of live performances over the summer, playing songs from BLUES WITH HORNS their 15th Kings album and its second with Freddi Gowdy.

Chris was inducted into the COLORADO MUSIC HALL OF FAME in 2013 with Judy Collins and he has appeared with the Garth Brooks, B.B. King, Vince, Gill, Amy Grant, Joe Walsh, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John Oates, The Luminieers, Uncle Kracker, Blues Traveler, The Neville Brothers, and the list goes on. In December 2019, Freddi joined Chris as an inductee into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.

Hazel Miller is not just a great singer “she is a force of nature!” quotes the Rocky Mountain News. Her voice has been called “stunning, moving and powerful.” Hazel has been a sought after performer in Colorado for the past 30 years.

The Kitayama Carnation Strike began in July 1968 led by Guadalupe “Lupe” Briseno. On February 15, 1969, in a last-ditch effort to make a statement about their strike, Lupe Briseno, Mary Padilla, Rachael Sandoval (who was pregnant at the time), Martha del Real, and Mary Sailes chained themselves to the gate of the Kitayama Carnation plant. The five women were ultimately tear-gassed at point-blank range by Weld County Sheriffs and their strike came to an end. Now their story will be told.

The Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation (NAHF) provides funding for quality youth theatre, public art, and other cultural endeavors in the North Denver Metro area through Northglenn Arts. Over 40,000 children and adults have participated in NAHF funded performances, public art, special events and classes. All programming takes place at the DL Parsons Theatre in the Northglenn Recreation Center, EB Rains Jr. Memorial Park, and various parks throughout Northglenn.

The mission of the Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is to maintain and nurture the cultural arts for the benefit of our community. Its plan is to accomplish this through the development and support of successful collaborations between the arts, businesses, service groups, schools and artists for optimum utilization of artistic resources. NAHF strives to provide access for all citizens to the performing and visual arts, to promote an awareness of the arts and to enhance the community image through the development of a cultural climate. In partnership with the City of Northglenn, NAHF sponsors affordable, quality arts programs and performances at the DL Parsons Theatre and in City parks and schools.

Formed in 1990, the Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization with a 501(c)3 status
